DMV SnowStorm!

I’m sure most of you all have heard of the snowstorm that hit DC, Maryland & Virginia which caused road closings, school closings and various other amounts of “closings.” Well live and direct we have my brother Nasser aka NasVegas aka 1st Round Draft Pick getting his film skills on and making a video about his experience. This is his Impression.

Dubstep, It’s a movement…

Khalief Khadafi

Rebel from America, Khalief Khadafi, also known as Konfidential, is back and this time he’s taking over the dance floor with a new unique style. Influenced by Timmi Tanzinia (Bass player in The Urban Shaman’s) the young musican explored Dubstep and came to the realization that Dubstep would be the perfect genre to convey his outlook on political and social issues. In a time when every other musician worth salt is looking for something profoundly unique to set themselves apart from the masses Khalief Khadafi has raised the bar and proven that his forceful tracks are not to be reckoned with. This revolutionary album definitely pushes the envelope by adding edgy rebel music with dubstep rythms, for a match that is (dare I say it?) radio-friendly. Its high-octane tunes pulsates with thumping beats that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. With lyrics like “we are divided by the land and not the water and its okay if your commitin’ manslaughter as long as its on other lands across the water” from track -Know About Me or the big tune filled with food for thought “Corporation Take Off”.
Just a few examples of an album full of substantial tracks, Khalief Khadafi’s voice convinces with every word, rhythms hit with massive bass and the message resonates in the mind. With the song “America” at closure I hope it begins the process of recovery. Others enter in a more unassuming way and grow into their talent. Khalief Khadafi is most certainly among the latter and that plays a big part in why the mix tape had 8,000 plays in the first week…

Update

I haven’t updated in awhile and mostly it is because of finals. Finals are VERY stressful but i’ve been able to get passed that. I’ve just been busy with this Rare Impression thing so much so that sometimes i forget to update it. Finally got my mind right and my money right. The problem is that the last hope we have is the hope we believe in. If you believe in me I’ll believe in you. I’m holding it down for EZ while hes gone, hes up in the mountains and pretty soon the takeover will begin. Anyways be on the look out because Winter Break is when the buttons will be ordered and when the official logo will be out. Many videos coming soon as well. I have to give a shout out to the people who are helping the cause so shout out to U.N.R.E.A.L for supporting me, Bazooka Bob, Jon Ice Cream Man Cleveland, TN9, BS & DKS101 for their support. Its been a beautiful semester and i would like to end on this note. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. So when you see people going against you, believe them. And if your tired of living like that, Welcome To Rare Impression.

The Power Of Twitter

Who knew that twitter could be that powerful? While on thanksgiving break Wale posted something on twitter saying that he would be at Wheaton Mall. Rare Impression was on it. Who knew that Wale would make a video of it and it would feature the 5th floor. Due to certain politics, i wasn’t able to obtain his video, but i was able to make my own. Check It out.

A Different Daze

One of my favorite t.v. shows and one of the reasons why i was inspired to even come down south. Many of you may not know a different world or even know what it is about but basically it is about the college life at a HBCU. It was filmed at Spelman college (get it, Hillman lol) and touched upon serious issues that most people who go to HBCUs go through. This one episode really stuck with me, not just cause 2pac was in it but because it made a lot of sense and i never knew that i would be going through the same thing now.

Another thing i wanted to talk about in this post was School Daze. One of my favorite movies about a HBCU and their lifestyle. You had the pro-black man who was trying to make a change. You had the man who just wanted to pledge and be apart of the greek lifestyle. You had the light skinned vs dark skinned problems and you even had the regular people who just wanted to get an education. School Daze touched on it all and it took place at a Mission College (get it? Morehouse college lol)

just keep a look out for what is going to happen in the future. Shoutouts to Hillman & Mission college lol

iigh so since i’m still laying down the foundation of this site, rare impression, i decided to go ahead and let these pictures speak to you. These are some things that i hope yall will check out in the future.

Shout to kadeem

shoutout to the u.n.r.e.a.l ladies @ spelman

The Future

My Last Words

one of my favorite songs by X.I.B. Not really my lost words but hear me out. When I was growing up in high school, from like 8th-9th grade i use to make videos like it was nothing. Not really good videos, just videos. Some of them were creative and some of them were random, but they made me who i am today. Take a look at how i use to be.

On A Serious Note

lets be clear, in this world no one is perfect. Most of you watch the news so im pretty sure that most of you are familiar with what is going on with Tiger Woods. and all i can say is that the world we live in, loves to see a man fall from grace. Tiger Woods, first athlete to make a billion dollars, the right way! And yall are just hoping he did something wrong. The world we live in is crazy and all i can say is that pray God doesn’t reveal your sins because you the more people talk about someone else, the more covering up they probably have to do. Just keep that in mind.
